I have asked my solicitor three times to investigate the following complaint: why one of their solicitors told me that there was a gas certificate on the property and why they had not actually checked this before the sale as they should have done as they knew the property was tenanted prior to sale and according to Trading Standards it is standard procedure for a solicitor to check these things in the case of a sale.
Three times they have replied about the gas boiler instead and denied that the property needed a gas certificate - when they know it did. If you want to know which solicitor not to use when buying and selling please contact.
Meanwhile having taken weeks no months to get a reply from the TPO: The Property Ombudsman they are insisting I provide new evidence within days.
I feel close to a break down again, ironically the only thing that stopped me falling today, was having to go back through the evidence I have already provided the TPO and try and get them to understand its import.
I should have been working but felt too stressed to handle work and this, so just getting something more done for the TPO was a start. I still have more to do for them and have had to fight claw and nail to get them to extend the deadline for my reply. So they are adding to the pressure and to complicate things further I may have lost my best employment too.
I feel such a failure that is part of the problem, that I got things so wrong that I failed to protect myself, that I have let my son down by being stupid, trying to deal with my fear about lack of income, finding it difficult to manage the old property and trying to find a solution has just made things worse. It would have been okay if the deal had been what it was supposed to be, but it was not and nothing I do changes that and how sick that makes me feel.
