Lots of interest and the wrong kind of interest.
Our local musuem has realised that old photos tap into the collective and personal memories of local people. They have linked up with WTBL to start working towards having a permanent and temporary travelling collection of photos on display and we were invited to come and give our views on a small selection of their thousands of images. Not sure how the project will go on from here, especially as my days seem so full, but it was a very gentle way to spend an afternoon, looking through past images and a good number of people turned up so that was promising and the air was full of their recollections. Interestingly a number of photos showed real issues with flooding in the area in the past and though some remedial action has happened, given the state of my road last August, not enough.
It is chukking it down at the moment outside, but in the sunny morn, I got lucky a student did not turn up, so I had time to visit the allotment. Sadly the sight of a number of open shed doors alerted me to possible problems at our end and yes, the fruit cage has been trashed and the shed door bashed in.
